Wet n Wild Color Icon 8-Pan Eyeshadow Palette

I've been currently addicted to my Wet n Wild Color Icon 8-Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Petal Pusher (#736) so today I wanted to show you swatches and my quick thoughts on the palette. I first want to mention that this is a $5.00 palette, with 8 shadows, amazing right? For those of you who are not aware of Wet n Wild Cosmetics, they are an amazing and affordable beauty company found in all major drugstores with unbelievable prices (and great quality too).
Wet n Wild Color Icon 8-Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Petal Pusher
Petal Pusher is not the most pigmented palette that WnW has come out with, but it does have a good decent amount of pigmentation in it which allow you to create a nice subtle look. What I love about it is that it comes with light and darker shades which allows you to transform a day time look to a night time look in seconds!
Wet n Wild Color Icon 8-Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Petal Pusher Swatches
This palette does have quite a bit of shimmer to the majority of its shadows but the shimmers are not chunky at all and they do look very pretty mixed into the shadows, particularly when the light hits the eyelids. I love this palette and highly recommend it to anyone out there looking for an affordable on-the-go palette with a variety of colors.  I also believe that this palette is perfect for someone who is looking to move away from the typical browns/neutrals and move onto colors with a little bit more deepness and mystery to them!

Please make sure to visit the WnW site for additional product information. Have you tried any of the Wet n Wild Color Icon 8-Pan Eyeshadow Palettes? Which are your favorites?

Crown Brush 15pc PRO Brush Set

Press Samples; Powered by Crown Brush
A few months ago I had the opportunity to try out a brush set from Crown Brush and I've been really enjoying using it, so today I wanted to show you the actual brush set and give you my quick thoughts. This is the 15 piece PRO Brush set, which comes with 15 brushes and a case; the retail price is $109.98 if everything is purchased separately but as a set the price is $39.95 which is a 70% savings. The brush set comes with the following:
Chisel Powder • Chisel Blush • Angle Blush • Foundation
Angle Blender • Oval Shadow • Blending Fluff • Flat Liner
Concealer • Lash Fan • Brow/Lash Groomer • Angle Liner
Oval Lip • Mini Smudger • Round Crease • Faux Reptile Case
What I really love about this brush set is the versatility, it comes with literally every kind of brush that you will need -- trust me when I say this, I've purchased brush sets before in the past and I still needed to use other brushes to complete a makeup look. In terms of quality these brushes are really amazing because the bristles are very soft to the touch but are sturdy enough to pack on product and apply wonderfully! These brushes have been in excellent condition since the day I received them, even after washing them repeatedly for months there has been no shedding at all!
I also love that this set comes with a case, it is faux reptile,  and it looks so elegant and classy. The case itself is very sturdy and very convenient for taking your brushes on the go! What I love most about this brush case is that it actually looks like a small clutch which is super cute to take with you anywhere!

Overall I have really been enjoying this brush set, it's very affordable at less that $40, considering the # of items you get and the quality is pretty amazing! If you are on the market for a good brush set I highly encourage you check out Crown Brush! FYI these brushes are available through Hautelook for a big discounted price so make sure to check out that site periodically as well.

Hask Keratin Protein Hair Product Collection

I recently had the opportunity to try out a few new hair products and today I wanted to quickly share with you my opinion on the Hask Keratin Protein Hair Product Collection. I received the Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner, the Deep Conditioner and the Shine Oil and for the past month I've been testing this collection out and I do have to say that I am very impressed.

Hask Keratin Protein claims to "give you dry, frizzy hair a miracle makeover by strengthening & smoothing every strand from the inside out." That's a pretty impressive claim and I do have to agree with it because before starting to use this collection my hair was extremely damaged, very dry and also brittle, however immediately after my first use I noticed a difference in the texture, look, and feel of my hair.
Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner
I also noticed after using all 4 products consecutively for about a week, it made it so much easier to flat iron my frizzy curly hair, particularly using the Shine Oil, it tamed my frizzy curls and provided amazing shine without looking greasy!

The smoothing deep conditioner is actually my favorite of the 4 because it feels amazing on the hair/scalp.  It works wonders with dangled hair and it made my hair feel so smooth, it was quite unbelievable!  All 4 of these products smell amazing, very fruity and sweet, in which the amazing scent does linger in your hair even the next day!

What I love most about this collection is that you get amazing salon looking results with drugstore prices, YES this collection is super affordable and can all be found in your local drugstores such as Kmart, Walmart, CVS, Walgreen's, and more! I highly encourage you to visit their website
www.haskbeauty.com and check out the Keratin Protein Hair Product Collection and their other collections which includes Argain Oil, Macademia, Monio, and more!

What Is Your Favorite Nail Shape?

Nail Shapes

I was recently looking through some of my old nail polish reviews and realized that my nails have made so many changes throughout the years, particularly the past 2-3 years. What I'm referring to is not the "health" of my nails but rather the shape of the nails.

Looking back at photos from when I first started blogging back in 2011, I realize that I have gone through so many nail shape phases, and if you think about it, there are dozens of ways you can shape your nails, right? Granted yes there are many days, weeks, even months where I just clip my nails and that's it, but a lot of times when I do polish my nails I now realize that my nails require a little bit more work in the shaping department.

Up until a few years ago, I never used to "shape" my nails, and when I say never I mean NEVER... and you can even see in some of my older nail posts my nails looked uneven, some way longer than others, all in different shapes, it was quite ridiculous to think about, but at the time I never really knew or realized that nails required that type of maintenance. But since then I've learned to shape my nails from oval, square, to round, and quite honestly I love experimenting with my nails because it's super fun!

Now days I prefer my nails to be short, maybe with just a few centimeters past my actual fingers, especially because I type a lot for my job and it's just easier and quicker to do so with shorter nails. Also I hate it when I have long nails and all of the sudden one breaks UGH don't you hate it when that happens...because then I feel like I have to cut the rest of them down to match, do you agree?

I think if I had to pick my favorite all time nail shape (for my nails) I would have to say square! I just love how even and perfectly aligned squared nails look. Next up from square would have to be "squoval" which is a combination between square and oval. This nail shape I believe is the most natural yet also looks very even and well taken care of.

The one shape I have never tried is the Almond shape (or the pointy shape). I've seen so many beautiful versions of almond shaped nails and I seriously want to learn how to do that! Have you tried that? Is it hard to do? Do you like that type of nail shape?

I am really curious to find out what your favorite nail shape is? Do you shape your nails, or just let them grow as is? I am super excited for Spring and Summer because I am getting ready to bring out all of my bright, fun, neon polishes and doing more nail posts! During this past winter I didn't really do much with my nails, I think the gloomy weather makes me feel sort of anti-nail polish...!  In fact I need some serious cuticle help because my hands have been so dry this winter!

Which nail shape are you currently sporting? Have you started experimenting with new and different kind of nail shapes?
