De-potting Project With ELF Shadows & a MAC PRO Palette

If you remember back in August I purchased several MAC Cosmetics PRO palettes and inserts so I could depot some of my bulky shadows.  Well this weekend I de-potted my ELF Everyday Eye and ELF Glitter Eye palettes, they were just way too bulky and I have been trying to tidy up my makeup area as well!
For this past weekend's de-potting project I used the MAC Cosmetics Pro Palette Large/Duo which retails for $8.00 both online and in MAC stores.  I didn't need inserts (which retails for $3.00) because the ELF shadows are rectangular (not circular) therefore the inserts would be useless for this project.
The project took less than 10 minutes, it was really easy and super fun, definitely a good project to do with your girlfriends, kids, siblings, etc!  The only down side to these PRO Palettes is that they are not very magnetic so I will have to buy a magnetic sheet so my shadows don't slide around everywhere! Other than that, I love these palettes and it has made my makeup area so much neater and more organized!

If you are interesting in de-cluttering your shadows and de-potting them I encourage you to check out the MAC website and purchase the pro palettes and inserts!

  1. I wonder if it was actually the elf tins that aren't as magnetic? if theyre made from a cheaper metal (and i wouldnt be surprised considering the price point) they could be the problem! I LOVE depotting!
