This weekend I made my way onto my local Walgreen's and purchased the kit for $65 (saved $5.00 by using my Walgreen's Rewards Card), the kit comes with an LED lamp, base coat, polish color, top coat, nail cleanser pads, acetone remover, and cuticle stick/nail filer. The kit itself claims that you can get up to 10 salon manicures at home, in which each manicure will last you 2 whole weeks...how amazing is that? 1 kit alone is cheaper than 1 manicure at the salon, and what's even more amazing is that this kit goes on sale next week (7/14) online for the price of $39.99 click here for the link. If you're interested in trying this out, the sale price (next week) is unbelievable and you will not regret it!
The kit is super easy to use, so let me walk you through the steps:
1) Prep -- Push back cuticles, file nails, & clean nails with nail cleanser pad.
2) Base Coat -- shake bottle, apply thin layer of base coat, insert hand in LED lamp.
3) Gel Nail Color -- shake bottle, apply thin layer of nail color, insert hand in LED lamp.
4) Gel Top Coat -- shake bottle, apply thin layer of top coat, insert hand in LED lamp.
5) Cleanse & Finish -- wipe nails with nail cleanser pad. Manicure is now all done!
I love gel nails but prices at the salon are way too steep! The Sally Hansen Gel Nail Set is amazing, it gives me a salon quality manicure for a fraction of the price! My nails look and feel amazing, the gel nails really make my nails feel sturdy and hard, and not brittle at all! I prefer to do my nails at home instead of a salon because I don't have to wait in long lines or worry about spending a fortune, plus I can't wait to have some girlfriends over so we can do each other's nails, this set is super fun and perfect for those girls night out!
There are 3 different kits, each with a different color: wine not (deep red), red my lips (red), and shell all we dance (light pink). I decided to pick the light pink because I imagined my nails looking like pearls so I wanted a light subtle color. They do have refills of polish which you can buy separately, the variety is amazing and I do plan on going back to my Walgreen's and buying a few other colors! Oh by the way, to check out more pictures make sure to visit my Google+ album here.
I highly highly highly recommend this kit to anyone who wants a salon style manicure but want to save money! Have you tried this kit before? It's super easy to use so let me know if you have done manicures with this kit I would love to see pictures! Again this kit will be on sale next week so if you're interested in trying this out I encourage you to purchase it next week!
