I picked the 3 lightest shades, the ones which I thought would fit my skintone perfectly; the other 2 shades were of a darker/deeper tone so I figured those would go well with darker skin-tones. The colors I picked are: Headliner, Superstar, and Diva (the other shades are Encore and Showstopper).
What Does The Product Claim?
Rich and creamy HD Blush naturally sculpts and highlights the cheekbones for a soft-focus effect that is great for everyday use. The Vitamin E enriched formula conditions and hydrates the skin for a healthy, radiant glow. Velvety soft, lightweight and highly pigmented color creates a long-lasting result for all day wear.
Press down gently on the pump to release a very small amount of color. Apply with finger or a stipple brush to the cheekbone in a tapping motion and blend in.
I want to first start off by saying that I love the fact that these blushes come in a pump form, it's definitely less messy, easy to carry and definitely hassle-free to quickly pump and use! However, I have noticed that the pump does occasionally push out more product than you need, so be careful with pressing the pump too hard. Having said that, I do want to warn you that a tiny bit of product is all you need; tiny is definitely an understatement because you literally need a very small amount of product. These blushes are so pigmented that a little dot of product will allow you to create enough blush on your face.
These HD blushes are easy to blend, with either your fingers or a stippling brush (I have yet to use a sponge with this product), in addition once they are well blended in, they dry within a reasonable amount of time (seconds), and then feel so silky and smooth on the face. These HD blushes are not matte at all nor are they shimmery, they just offer a bit of highlighting which looks gorgeous in the sunlight. For today, I decided to do swatches on a white blank platform, so you can get an idea of the true color since it will differ depending on the skintone; and keep in mind the colors will be less bright with blending.
The blushes feel lightweight on the skin, look very natural, and they are long lasting (a good whole day without fading). I do like these blushes and they are very affordable, aside from the pump pushing out way too much product, the other CON closely relates to the pigmentation of these blushes, they are so pigmented that the darker shades seem to stain the skin, BUT I find that they are also great to use as lip colors (I have a separate post which will show you lip swatches -- coming soon).
