It's currently 12/31/12 around 7 PM, I'm on the West Coast so we have a few more hours to go before it is 2013! I wanted to do a quick post wishing all of you a wonderful New Year's Eve (and happy new year) and cheers to an awesome year coming up 2013 BABY!
I started this blog on October 2011, and it's been a fun year dedicating more and more time and effort into Glitz Glam Budget! I've met so many wonderful bloggers and beauty enthusiasts, and I really appreciate all of you who have supported me from the start, and anyone else who has come along the way the past year! I've exceeded my expectations for this blog, and I can't wait to see what 2013 has in-stored for me!
Happy New Year my friends, I really hope that 2013 brings many wonderful things for all of you and your families as well!
Have you heard of Lulus.com? It's an awesome online retailer that I recently came across, they offer awesome deals on women's clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, etc. They have the latest trends, the cutest stuff, all at discounted prices.
I wanted to show you a super cute and affordable necklace that I received from Lulu's, it is an emerald (blueish) colored rose, with a brushed gold chain, all for only $12.00. I love anything with roses, but I particularly love this necklace because of its color, emerald is my birth stone color and it is also one of my favorite colors!
I highly encourage you to check out Lulu's website (www.lulus.com), they currently have a discount code good for an extra 40% off of their sales items, which actually expires on 01-01-13, the code is HELLO2013.
Have you purchased any items from Lulu's? I plan on taking advantage of that coupon code because 40% off is such an awesome discount on already affordable products!
I wanted to share with you a lotion that I've been addicted to for the past several months, it is the EOS Cucumber Hand Lotion. First off let me say that EOS has the cutest packaging in all their products!!
I love the packaging of this hand lotion, it is super sleek and super cute! I like that the EOS hand lotions are small and compact, I have a ton at home, in my purse, and at work. They come in a 1.5 oz package, so it is very lightweight which makes it so convenient to take anywhere. I purchased mine at my local Target for only $3.49, and it is definitely worth it because a little product is all you need so this 1.5 oz lotion will last a very long time!
Like I mentioned, I've been addicted to this product for the past several months, but before continuing with my review, I want to share with you what EOS states on their site about this lotion:
97% natural formula
For all skin types
I love this product for many reasons, aside from the cute packaging, the lotion itself has a very refreshing cucumber scent, the scent is so light which I love because it is not overpowering, but it is strong enough that it lasts a long time as well! It is very moisturizing and makes my skin feel so soft, and does not leave that sticky/wet feeling unlike a few other lotions that I own, simply because this EOS lotion is very fast absorbing! As I mentioned earlier, you really only need a little bit of lotion on your hands, and it keeps the skin feeling so hydrated. Even though there is only 1.5 oz of product, because you only need a little bit, it will last a long time (usually 1 will last me several months).
I highly recommend the EOS Cucumber Hand Lotion, it is compact, it smells so good, it is hydrating, and best of all it is organic/natural! To check out the EOS Hand Lotion click herewhich will take you to the EOS site. I also love the EOS Strawberry Sorbet Lip Balm, want to check out my review? Well click here. Have you tried the EOS Hand Lotion? Which scent do you own?
Hello Friends! Today is the day after Christmas, and I hope that you all are having a wonderful holiday thus far. Regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I hope that you all are spending these holidays with the friends and family members that you love and care about!
Also, remember that the holidays are not about receiving, but are about giving, so make that you give this season. Make sure that you are giving presents, giving donations, and giving your time to others; keep in mind you don't have to spend a ton of money, even the simplest things in life bring a smile to everyone's face!
Also, I want to take this time to say Thank You so much for constantly checking back on Glitz Glam Budget, for visiting my blog, for interacting with my on all the social media sites, I truly appreciate it! I will be doing a giveaway soon, to show my appreciation, it's actually a long overdue giveaway which was supposed to occur on my 1 year blog anniversary (which was in October) so make sure you stay tuned for that! Happy Holidays Friends!
I love Sephora, it is one of my all time favorite places to shop, but it can get pricey, which is why I normally search their sales section or small bins next to the registers in hopes of finding some awesome deals! Well one their products that I recently discovered and was reasonably priced, is the Sephora Professional Dual Pencil Sharpener, which retails for $3.00. This is not a typical pencil sharper, because not only can it sharpen jumbo and slim pencils, but it also has a snap-on/flip cap canister where it collects all the shavings. This is the most genius idea ever....think about how many times you've made a big mess trying not to drop all your pencil shavings!
It is definitely mess free since the shavings can easily be thrown out, it can easily be cleaned up, and it is perfect for on the go, or when you travel, where you might not necessarily have time or a trash can near by! Again this does retail for $3.00 which is super affordable and definitely worth it, can be purchased on the Sephora site here and in all Sephora stores! Have you tried this sharpener?
As you all know I am a drugstore beauty junkie, but there comes a time where you just want to splurge on yourself...well that was the case the other day! I was vising my local Sephora during my lunch break and wanted to treat myself, I guess call it an early Christmas present to myself =) So I made a small but exciting Sephora/Benefit Cosmetics Haul! I purchased the Benefit Cosmetics The POREfressionalBalm, basically a primer that is supposed to minimize the appearance of pores, it retails for $30. I am excited to see how this product compares to drugstore primers so I will definitely be doing a review and comparison! Also I purchased the Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Concealer, it is said to be an industrial strength concealer so I am super excited to test that out, this product does retail for $20.00.
So I am super excited and happy about the small Sephora/Benefits Cosmetics haul, yes these products are pricey but I treated myself and from reading reviews online I don't think I will regret my purchase nor be disappointed but I will definitely provide in dept reviews in the near future. I think we all deserve to spoil ourselves every once in a while! Have any of you recently splurged or purchased something for yourself that you normally wouldn't?
