First Impressions: ELF Essentials Water-Proof Eyeliner Pen

I am starting a new series on my blog called First Impressions, where I review products that I’ve only used a few times, then I will do a full on review weeks to months later, as sort of an update.
As I’ve mentioned before, I usually like to use products for a while before I review them, to make sure I am giving you all an accurate review, but I know a lot of you have expressed that you would like to see these First Impressions posts, so you can go out and buy it right away, lets say if it’s a Limited Edition or a sale is going on.
About a week ago, I purchased the ELF Essentials Waterproof Eyeliner Pen from my local Dollar Tree, it was $1.00 (which is exactly what it is on the ELF site).  The only color they had was in Ash (which is a very dark gray), I was hoping to find it in black, but no luck.

So my first impressions on this product is that I love the felt-tip style, it definitely makes it easy to apply.  The pen is very pigmented, and it does glide on pretty smoothly, with enough color with each glide. It is not too wet, so it does dry pretty quickly, I wouldn't really call it waterproof since it did easily remove with a little bit of water. Lasting power is ok, after about 4 hours the color was fading (but this could be because I am used to dark black liners (vs gray).
After using this product for about a week, I do like it so far, and right now I would recommend it.  I am going to keep using it for a few more weeks to a month and update you if anything drastic changes (if I LOVE it or HATE it)!

Have you tried this liner before? What do you think about it?  For $1.00 it is definitely a good deal.  Aside from the Dollar Tree, I am pretty certain they also sell these at Target, and of course also on the ELF site here.
