ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen Review

I am a big fan of Elf products, whether its their nail polishes, lipsticks, or bronzers! I recently came across the Elf Nourishing Cuticle Pen at my local Target and thought for 1 dollar why  not give it a try!
What prompted me to purchase this product is that lately my nails and cuticles have been extremely dry, no matter how much lotion or baby oil I put on it, so I wanted to try something else that could hopefully help my dry cuticles!

This cuticle pen contains Avocado and Almond Oils, along with Vitamins E, A, C, Pro-Vitamin B5 and Aloe and according to the Elf cosmetics website, all these ingredients are supposed to "Relieve dry nails and flaky cuticles."  I didn't know what to expect with this product since I have never tried a cuticle pen before, but upon opening up the pen I was amazed that the tip of the product was very hard; best way to describe it is that it is very similar to a felt tip marker or even a highlighter.

Although the tip is very hard upon touching with fingers, when you apply the pen on your nails it is not bothersome at all.  In fact, since it does have all the vitamins and almond/Avocado oil, the product truly does feel moisturizing and sort of comforting to the nails. In fact, the design of the pen is actually perfect for pushing any cuticles off your nail! The liquid/oil itself absorbs and drys fairly quickly, it is not sticky or "oily" at all, in fact the texture feels more like a small layer of water, without any mess or dripping.

(Below is a video from the Elf Website, which describes how easy it is to use)

I've been using this product for several months now, and I have noticed a big difference in my nails. I do feel that the ingredients have helped bring moisture to my nails. I no longer have dry cuticles, and since using this product I no longer have those annoying hang-nails! I do think that this product is very convenient to carry around in your purse or backpack. I still continue to use hand lotion frequently, however this Elf Nourishing Cuticle Pen is with me everywhere I go, a quick touch up here and there, and my nails feels nourished, smooth, shinier, and overall look and feel healthy!

  1. I'm glad to hear this product hasn't dried out on you. That was my biggest gripe about other cuticle pens.
