When I first heard of the Maybelline Baby Lips I was very intrigued to try them, especially since they're priced at only $2.99 each.
Maybelline describes the Baby Lips as: "No more basic lip balm! Lip renew formula and 8-hr hydration for visibly renewed lips in 4 weeks."
The collection is made up of 6 different baby lips, all ranging in color, scent, and taste. I picked up 5 of them as seen below (I am missing #25 in Pink Punch -- must be popular since it was sold out at every drugstore). These Baby Lips can be found at your local Target and other drugstores nation wide.
#05 Quenched, #10 Peppermint, #15 Cherry Pie, #20 Grape Vine, #30 Peach Kiss
What immediately attracted me to this product was the price, at $2.99 it's an unbelievable price for Maybelline lip products. I was actually fortunate enough to come across some pretty fabulous coupons ($2.00 Off Maybelline Lip product from Target, and a generic $1.00 Off Maybelline Product used anywhere), so what that means is that I got all these Baby Lips at Target for FREE.
According to the packaging, the Baby Lips actually had a clinical study done, and the results showed that after 4 weeks of use:
82% had visibly less dry lips
94% had less rough lips
77% had more supple lips
77% had better looking lips
The one complaint that I have about the Baby Lips is the minimal pigmentation of the product; I was expecting the colors to truly match the deep shades but once applied on the lips the colors look very sheer and all look very similar to one another (as seen below the colors look very much alike from light pink to peach). Also, two of the Baby Lips have no color, but do have a lovely scent and smell.
Overall, I do really like the Maybelline Baby Lips, they are very moisturizing and for $2.99 you really can't beat that! I would highly recommend these Baby Lips to anyone out there wanting a chapstick that feels very smooth yet at the same time a product that adds a hint of color!
Have you tried any of the Maybelline Baby Lips? Which one is your favorite and/or least?

ReplyDeleteI have Peppermint and Peach Kiss, I like them both, and for 2.99 each, it's worth it. I'm dying to get Pink Punch, but it's sold out everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI have the pink punch, it smells JUST like pink punch and it looks just like a pink lipstick!
ReplyDeletelovely review!
I love the packaging of these! Ours are packaged in a tube that looks like a lip smacker, and I much prefer this kind!

I have considered trying these out, but always back out lol. I may break down and buy one. I just have so many lip balms, with and without color, i just kept talking myself out of it. lol
ReplyDeleteI definitely tried these out and it just didn't work for me. =( I liked the color but they dried up my lips too much. Glad to hear they worked for you!
ReplyDeletewow these are so cool! i haven't seen these here at all x
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I have Pink Punch! I got it in my swap with a fellow beauty blogger. I admit I haven't tried it yet but I will soon. My sister has Cherry Pie and she loves it!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you thought there wasn't enough color; I thought there was too much! Haha. I have Pink Punch, and while I love the texture and smell, it was just too bright pink for me (which is shocking, since I'm normally a huge fan.) I think I would like one of the other colors or the color-free ones more:)
ReplyDelete@Iridescent Colors sorry to hear these didn't work out for you, a good alternative is Soft Lips Chapstick - they offer moisture and have a hint of color as well!
ReplyDelete@channelHMC yes I have a billion chapsticks, but a good deal like this I couldn't pass up! Hopefully you can try one, they are great!
@kristen definitely the color vibrancy depends on each individual lip color! Hopefully u will find some of the other colors/non colored ones.
@Nik @Tat @CottonCandy @Jess hopefully u can find these in your area, they are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI have the Pink Punch and I must say it smells amazing! I haven't tried the other ones, but the Pink Punch I feel is more pigmented. My lips are close to the bright pink when I apply it. I wanted to try the other ones, but was afraid that some colors like the purple would turn my lips purple too. Good to know not all are as pigmented!! Thank you for the review!
