Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque Review

...
As my first blog post, I really want to focus on a drugstore product that I am absolutely in love with and have adored for the past 3 years.    This product is definitely a staple in my skin care routine especially because I have very sensitive acne prone skin, anytime I try something new my face will most definitely react, whether its with a pimple, redness, or a rash of some sort.  I found that Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque really helps dry up acne, reduces redness on my face, makes blackheads appear less noticeable, and makes my skin feel super soft.

The actual product claims to help dry up acne pimples which is definitely what is does to my face.  It also claims to rinse away blackheads and shrink enlarged pores; for my skin all it really does is make my pores and blackheads seems smaller not actually removing any.  Overall, this masque is so soothing and almost feels “spa-like” which is great!  You’re really only supposed to keep it on your face for 15 minutes, but at times I’ve left it on for longer and definitely feel that it works a lot better for my skin’s texture.

You can find this product at any drugstore such as Rite Aid, CVS, even Ulta and Sally’s Beauty; however I prefer to purchase mine at Walgreens, it is usually priced at $2.39 but at times they have a buy one get one free so you’re really getting this product dirt cheap!!  This product lasts a very long time as well, my current bottle has been in my bathroom for over 6 months, and still have some left.  I definitely would recommend this product to anyone – doesn’t matter of skin type or skin texture because it’s very soothing to the skin.  However I definitely believe anyone who either has acne prone or oily skin can benefit from this product as it has helped me with my acne and my oily skin.

  1. Which is better to you? The Freeman Avocado and Oatmeal mask or the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque?

  2. @anonymous they each have their own benefits, and they are both equally wonderful. The Mint Julep is great for pores and pimples, and the Avocado/Oatmeal is great for pores and oilyness.
